At Isles Lane, we’ve combined the classic big city eating houses, from New York to Barcelona, and added our own modern Australian twist, heavily featuring locally sourced south-east Queensland produce, to create the Brisbane CBD’s best gastropub and meeting place. Isles Lane is a destination which is perfect for coffee; breakfast; lunch; dinner; an after-work knock-off; social play and celebration.

Like the neighbouring Post Office Square, Isles Lane draws natural light and greenery inwards, creating an open, modern and verdant space, suited to house up to a 400 guest function or event.

Behind the bar, guests can spy bartenders pouring some of the cities most interesting Rieslings, Roses, Proseccos and Champagnes, along with handles of great well-known beers (and some interesting rotational brews).

In the kitchen, the pans are commanded by Head Chef Lucie Woods, who brings a modern gastropub flavour, in waves of fresh and seasonal produce from the veggie patch, pasture, sea and sky, bought directly from the best Queensland farmers and producers. Our food menu has a large emphasis on sharing, as we believe that’s how food is meant to be enjoyed, and how we would serve you if you were a guest in our own home. We also boast an enviable single plate menu, and the CBD’s best breakfast and bar snack menus.

In the front of house, customers receive the best in customer service from an attentive team lead by experienced Venue Manager, Greg McLellan, and Assistant Manager, Tegan Stanley. These two are passionate about service and the product our team delivers.

After sunset, Brisbane’s nightlife replace the corporate crowd, with Isles Lane’s kitchen and bar remaining open ‘til late seven days a week. In time, and in partnership with the Brisbane City Council, events and activations will showcase the iconic Post Office Square, drawing families and social groups to a new community platform.

Located only minutes away from the Brisbane CBD’s Central Train Station and Queen Street Mall, Isles Lane is Brisbane’s number one gastropub.

Celissa – Our Story

Celissa is named after two very special women; Cecilie Meade and Melissa Blyth, the two most important people to the Celissa family.

They are loving and supportive wives, and are extraordinary mothers, daughters and sisters; they are two beautiful human beings. It is their personal attributes that have laid the foundations for Celissa to be built upon. Attributes such as respect; honesty; integrity; humility and selflessness.

It is our desire that our venues will in some way be reflections of these women, and customers and staff will feel these qualities when they enter our Brisbane CBD and Fortitude Valley establishments.

At Celissa, we have learnt not to take life too seriously, nor for granted. It is clear to us that life is about having fulfilling and memorable experiences. It is about building rich, genuine family relationships and friendships through regular and meaningful social interactions.

We believe in having fun and laughing excessively (with others and ourselves), and showing mutual respect to every walk of life. We hope you feel proud and experience all of these things when you walk into one of our venues. If you see us, say hello, and let’s have a laugh over a Stone & Wood or Grosset riesling.
